Dr. Erik Werner
Dr. Erik Werner is a chemist by training (Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz; diploma 1997) and completed a PhD thesis in protein crystallography at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), Berlin-Buch and the Free University Berlin in 2002. During this time he gained a broad scientific background covering the fields of chemistry, experimental physics, biochemistry and biophysical chemistry, including first hand practical experience. Together with the involvement in modern research fields such as genomics and system biology through EU projects, there is a general understanding of research and researchers that is invaluable for the successful management of research related activities and projects.
